Job Summary

As a RN in our practice, you would work under the direction of the physician/nurse practitioner in a pediatric medical office

Responsibilities
  • Prepares examination and treatment areas.
  • Prepares patient for examination, treatment, and procedures.
  • Documents data collected during the patient care process via electronic medical record.
  • Collects, completes and processes lab specimens and required paperwork.
  • Prepares and administers medications and immunizations, under the supervision of physician/nurse practitioner.
  • Processes sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed.
  • Educates patients/families with instruction provided by the physician/nurse practitioner.
  • Assists provider with screening and follow-up with patient test results.
  • Expedites referrals to other health care providers.
  • Triages patient calls.
  • Checks medications for expiration dates and proper labels.

Education
  • Registered Nurse Diploma

License and/or Certification
  • Current RN licensure by the state of Pennsylvania
  • American Heart CPR certification required
